After computer conflict; aka crash. Little bits of sleep; which always leads to being stressed out. I got word. When I received an email from Philmont that I was going to be a Mountain Trek Ranger, I was a bit displeased, since I would not be able to Rayado- but I figure, there will be a lot of perks to this new position. I've been assured by many that it will be the best summer ever.
So Here's to getting my studio work done, thanks giving, and a great summer!

It's in the mail
So today, I mailed my second Philmont Application. I feel so good about this. In fact, I don't think I have felt this good about something in a very long time.
Some may say that I am running from something, but the truth is, I am running, as fast as I can towards long days of hiking, nights around the fire, and being able to pee anywhere you want. I don't know who I would have become without going to Philmont. So, one last summer.
Knowing it is a last chance type of deal I will compile a list of things to do... just to be sure I do it all...
Peaks to Climb - for the first time: Little Castia, Phillips, Touch-Me-Not, and Wheeler.
Camps to see - Clear Creek, Cyphers Mine, Saw Mill, and French.
I also want one Mountain Trek before I go... preferable the last crew I have... seeing that my first trek at philmont was a Mnt Trek... it would be poetic justice.
okay- back to the matter at hand.

Teton Crest Trail Pre-Day 1
So many thoughts come to mind... I am a bit nervous, but in all honesty I think this will be an amazing trip. My brother and I will be backpacking for 4 days, 3 nights, and about 40 miles on the Teton Crest Trail, in Teton National Park. We are both excited. I am extremely happy to be with him.
We leave today, so everything from here on out will be post trip info. But, here's to it!
